AutoXs driverless taxis are open for a trial to the public #IndiaNEWS #Automobile
The Chinese company, AutoX undertook the task that it will be one of the first automobile manufacturers to make driving driverless. Previously, the company had revealed the same aim with vivacity. On January 28, the company announced, taking their initial plan further, that it will officially build China’s first fully driverless operation center in Pingshan District, Shenzhen. Furthermore, the company is also on track to launch a demonstration application of the L5 fully driverless RoboTaxi fleet. From now on, the public interested in trying it out can officially opt for the trial operation. The public can make an appointment through the AutoX official account and sign up for a fully driverless taxi.

According to reports, AutoX’s fully automatic RoboTaxi fleet features the Grand Jielong vehicle platform which also comes with full redundant wire control capabilities. AutoX ensures that utmost safety protocols are followed on the road while driving. The unmanned vehicles will not be equipped with any staff and remote control, but each vehicle will come equipped with a remote customer service voice interaction system. This inclusion will ensure that the passengers get full access to service calls while on transit. Furthermore, the models that AutoX is offering up for test drive do not come with a sunroof.

In July last year, AutoX won the worlds second and Chinas only California DMV fully driverless license. Last year, the company made an announcement that has the potential of changing how we look at driving. This year, by making a formal contract which will work towards establishing China’s first fully driverless operation center, AutoX is already inching towards their goal.

The company launched a high-level driverless application demonstration in Shenzhen, where, coincidentally, the headquarter of the company is also based. Last year, the RoboTaxi demonstration application took place in Shanghai. The user can call self-driving taxis equipped with safety officers at any time through the AutoX App.
