Gandhinagar, Saturday: on the occasion of Teachers Day, the states Best 44 Teachers honored with ‘Shresth Shikshak Paritoshik’ by Hon. Governor of Gujarat Shri Acharya Devvratji and Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani in an event held in Gandhinagar.
Congratulating the ‘Shresth Shikshak Paritoshik’ winning teachers on Teachers Day, Governor of Gujarat Shri Acharya Devvart said that the role of teachers is very important in shaping a person. He said that teachers build knowledge-rich, cultured citizens through holistic development of the student.
The nation is not built by building campuses, it is done by anthropocentric education in school classrooms, he said, adding that a teacher can make a hundred percent change in a childs life if he sincerely strives for his goal.
Regarding the new National Education Policy 2020, the Governor said that the new National Education Policy announced by the Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi reflects on the need for students to become knowledgeable and skilled with the latest technology and stay connected with the culture.
On this occasion Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani inspired the teachers to lead Gujarat as a role model of future India and to inculcate the virtues of nation building and welfare in the future generation by developing education based on moral values.
Giving the role of teachers in enabling future generations to face the challenges of the world, the Chief Minister said that the excellent service rendered especially to the primary school children gives teachers a high place in the society.
Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani while clearly mentioning that government schools in the state have become better than private schools, said that now the reverse trend of admission from private school to government school has started.
The Chief Minister gave a detailed that with the use of latest technology last 3 years Gujarat has brought drastic change in education system. Gyankunj project as well as the dimensions such as online attendance system success shows the dedication of teachers in the state to transform education system.
He added that while Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi has announced a new education policy in the name of building a self-reliant India-New India, it is special responsibility of the teachers of the state to take the lead in implementing that policy first.
