DC Poonch discusses public issues with PRI members of Block Bufliaz #IndiaNEWS #National
POONCH SEPTEMBER 05: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Rahul Yadav on Friday chaired a meeting of Panchayat Raj Institution members of the Bufliaz Block to take stock of the issues and demands of their areas.
Officers of the district administration including ACD Poonch. Rajesh Lakhan; SDM Surankote, Saleem Qureshi; DPO, Muklis Ali; Tehsildar Surankote, Sheraz Ahmed Chohan; District Social Welfare Officer, Shakeel Ahmed besides Executive Engineers of different departments, and other concerned officers were present at the meeting.
The PRI members raised various issues and demands of their areas including up-gradation of roads, inclusion of roads in PMGSY Phase lll and development of tourism, Extraction of minor minerals through panchayats, start of work for model village Poshana. The specific issues raised during the meeting were up-gradation of Bufliaz Kulali road, Chandimarh Digrian to Poshana road, completion of work on PHE schemes at Draba, Mastandara and Fazlabad and various other issues related to their block.
It was informed in the meeting that as many as 14 PHE schemes have been sanctioned for block Bufliaz to provide tap connection to every household of the block.
The Deputy Commissioner assured the PRI members that all their genuine demands and issues have been documented and assured them of early redressal of the same. He asked them to play a key role in countering COVID19 in the areas of their respective jurisdiction by making people aware about the preventive measures.
