Facebook locked my account, forced me to turn on advanced protection, which is merely a disguised way to capture my phone number.

They forced me through a lengthy process to activate 2 factor authentication.
It did not worked out, I assume this is was the way the system was designed, to fail and frustrate the user.

The only other option was to verify a phone number.

Before verification, they specifically showed me a message that number will not be used for marketing or ad targetting.

As soon as the phone number was verified, on the very next page fb asked permission to allow the number to be used for ad targetting and marketing etc.

All of this in the name of "giving me advanced security"...

So here's the thing.
I'm deactivating this account permanently.
Enough of the bullying and tricking me into giving personal info I do not want to give.

FB, I wish your company goes to hell!

The "delete account" request has already been made, and seems it will take 30 days for fb to process it.

Bye bye all of you.
I'm sorry that some of you will keep getting bullied by nonsense people and companies of the world.
I'm done with fb.
