Fipola Retail to have 26 stores in Hyderabad by 2022-end #IndiaNEWS #Business
Hyderabad: Fipola Retail India, a Chennai-based omnichannel meat and seafood retail company, is strengthening its presence in Hyderabad, as part of its pan-India expansion. The company will have 26 stores by the end of 2022, from nine now.
The company, which opened nine stores in August this year, is in the process of adding five new stores by September-end, taking the total count to 14 stores.
Dr Sanjoy Kumar Das, COO, Fipola Retail, told Telangana Today, “We are rapidly expanding into all the prime locations of Hyderabad with our retail footprint. By the end of 2022, we plan to have 26 stores. All our stores are going to be company-owned and operated.???
The company plans to have 65 stores across south India by December 2021 and expand pan-India spreading across six States taking the total count to 200 stores by December 2022. The plan is to focus on tier-1 and tier-2 markets.
Das said, “We have different formats of outlets. These are exclusive, neighbourhood, mini and delivery stores. In Hyderabad, we will have a mixed format and invest Rs 50 crore. We are planning to meet our pan-India expansion by bringing in a private equity investor who will bring Rs 300 crore early 2022.???
The company operates modern, air-conditioned, hygienic and odourless stores. Customers can buy from retail outlets across Hyderabad, or get the meat home delivered by using Fipola’s mobile app (for Android and IoS). Fipola also rolled out new features/services such as Grill House and Fipola on Wheels through its stores.
